I'm using this thread to ask another question, whats up with this interior? looks interesting, but on my little research I didn't find any more like this, it looks like a material used for potatoes bags, do u have any more pics?

I would venture a guess on the s/n, but the NACA duct in the front spoiler is making me second-guess myself.

It's most likely a Series III car based on the side skirts. The Gottis, plain red with blank white roundel give me some clues, though, as to s/n.

Factory went to leather seats as standard, not sure from what serial # change occured though.

And no head rests. 71 246 has fixed seats but with head rests, not sure if all model years of 246's had fixed seats though.

Note also that this car had singular exhaust tips; not 3 on each side as with the 365's or 2 tips per side as with the 512's.

    Hijacking

Why not start your own thread ??

I would say scan them in, and post them!

It's wonderful to see pics of that era, and it could be a real find to the current owner, of any of those cars..

Modern owners prefer to blur the plates of course, but in your case I say "leave them in".

Never know where a thread will go in direction on here, but if it goes astray we can always bring it back 'round, with a hard pull on the tiller.

that looks a lot like the pinnifarina prototype 365bb that I been in ... it had a burlap type seat upholstery and chartreuse green trim somewhere in the interior as I recall.

despite whats been said here on Fchat about it NOT HAVING A REAL DRIVETRAIN in it, i have conformation and pictures take a couple of months ago that it indeed does have a drivetrain in it.

Then it was added later because pics Ive seen clearly show light above the rear wheels right through the engine bay. They could've installed it a week after the pic was taken for all I know but it was photographed minus an engine at one point which could be the reason for the confusion.

My 365 BB came with this material used for the seats and the inserts in the door panels. Very strange looking stuff.

not likely... i sat in the car over 15 years ago, it had it then. besides there are vintage photos of the proto ( identify buy the extra cut line on the headlamps) long before then doing smokey burn outs during its development.

on my request, ive ask a friend who sees that nearly car everyday at his work place. he took the pics and emailed back to me couple months ago says its still in there. yes it is possible it was removed from the car during that photo but it was mentioned here on fchat it never had a motor and still didnt today. I hope to dispel a little fiction.

In the early 1970's, more modern fabrics were the rage as leather was seen as old fashioned.
I know some of the well known Italian fabric makers got into the game.
