He'll cause significant rift inside the team that's unnecessary. Look at Mclaren (2007), Mclaren again (2012 but know it hasn't been going well since 2011 there!) and Mercedes (2014-last race). Lowe leaving has more to it.
Oh no. Don't depress me like that. The sport needs new blood and excitement. Look at Mad Max. Would you rather have him running next year or Massa again?
Mine will hinge on these new cars. If they fail to impress I will watch a race every now and then but won't be a religious watcher like I am now
Lol I am no Hami fan but this forum is turning me into one just to oppose the BS some people spew out on a regular basis
Whaaaaat? I'm pumped for next season. Big mix up. Big wings. Big tires. Wide cars. More power. More focus on the US. What exactly is so terrible right now?
So what you are saying is that you purposely take an adversarial view in order to upset the general forum populace? And then you ***** and moan when people argue with you, but in reality, you are saying that you think Elton is rubbish..... whatever turns you on I suppose. Glad to hear you don't really like Elton though,he is a total tool
Works perfectly the other way round...I have nothing against Lewis himself but the BS some people spew out on a regular basis makes me some sort of "unlogical-biased-Hamilton-worshippers anti-fan"
The general populace here seems reasonable. It is more the extreme views you and a few others have that require a counterbalance based on reality
Can't help not liking the chap... he's his own worst enemy. I couldn't support him if he joined ferrari, signed a contract to kill himself rather than ever leave, and delivered 10 championships in a row.... he will still be the same obnoxious little dipstick that at school would've had his head flushed down the toilet bowl at break time
Well, that's what my attitude is, so what's your problem? The fact you can't argue coherently to prove what I say is wrong? Too bad
i'm still one that thinks the 'sounds' of F1 are GONE!! these new turbo motors sound like ****, way too much limit on testing, fuel conservation is WAY TOO relevant - just for starters. i miss the wail of v10 and v12 F1 cars - can't help it. F1 is supposed to be the pinnacle of racing and yet virtually no testing can take place and 'fuel strategies' should have a significantly lower priority in racing. i still prefer when we had fuel stops and strategies included running light or heavy on fuel in combination with tires and stops. the amount of strategy options now really rest on tire choice from Q2 and when to pit. big deal. i'm with a few others who say if these new regs don't produce better racing (i like the direction they are going in...), i may opt out on watching every race - as i've done since before schumi even entered F1. like most things, what happened in the past is always viewed more romantically.
Cars won't have more power. The rest should (in theory) close up to Mercedes, especially as the season progresses...but more? No. They'll have 5kg more fuel but that's used up by hauling the fatter tires, heavier car and bigger aero around. The cars will definitely be better looking and I quite like the fat tires. The huge aero is cool, but a big problem remains is that they're still allowed to have as many elements as they want on the wings, and with bigger wings that basically means the problem with overtaking that we've had for the past 10 years or so, will only get worse.
Hmmm - so the power is limited by the lack of refueling at this point is what you're saying? The engines will all reach their theoretical max efficiency and not be able to exceed 1k horsepower? I thought the change to the rear diffuser was suppose to make following easier, and thus overtaking. Is that not accurate? I read that recently... I've always liked your thoughts on simplifying/limiting the aero. They should also add a push-to-pass like Indycar AND keep the DRS on straights IMO. Perhaps not possible though with the limited fuel. I think the former could help passing and also make for some dramatic moments.
I agree. They aren't done yet, but it's going in the right direction. The sound is horrible. Especially the Honda. Barf! Bring back refueling. If Indy can do it safely, so can F1.
Agree 100% At least the cars will look good and be fast next year, some lap records should finally fall after being set 12 years ago by the 2004 V10 cars. They HAVE to do something about the noise though
Poor form, William. Sid, I really struggle to understand your interactions in the F1 forum lately: "Disclaimer F1 forum: Only Ferrari matters to me, not any other team or driver." Ferrari e la passione della corse. You say only Ferrari matters to you, and not any other team or driver, yet you spend an inordinate amount of time posting of your hatred of Elton, your disdain for Mercedes, and your fervent hope that they both fail in all their endeavours. Rest assured we are all very well aware of your opinions of Hamilton and Mercedes. People give you a lot of benefit of the doubt (me included), but the constant diatribe is getting tiresome and it creates an atmosphere where debate is restricted. All the best, Andrew.
