Does anyone have this issues with the drivers side mirror shaking really bad at high speeds? I had this issue with my 2010 Italia and now with my spider.

Does anyone have any fix? Dealer said that they've tightened all the way and nothing more can be done?

Did not have this issue with my F12.

    Thanks.

There are two sources of vibration with this mirror - the "hard mount" where the housing attaches to the door shell or the " holder assembly" of the glass. On my Modena it was the former and on my Italia it was the latter.

    Andy,

Did you get them fixed and if you did what did you do or was required? Any input appreciated.

    Thanks,

On the Modena, I fixed it myself. There are three screws on the bottom of the housing (the part that pivots to fold in) which I removed. That exposed more screws which hold the base of the mirror against the door. Took about ten minutes.

On the Italia, the dealership is fixing it because I am not sure of myself to take the mirror internals apart that hold the glass.

I don't have both cars side-by-side to compare if the 458 mirror attaches in the same manner as the 360 mirror. But for sure where the mirror housing mounts, is different for the two cars.

Was the dealership ever able to resolve the issue on the 458? I spoke with the dealer where I purchased my car and they sort of just said all of them do it; didn't seem to have any solution available, although that's not to say there isn't one.

My 2013 Italia has done this since day 1. Dealer hasn't been able to fix it. Yet.

Not 100%, but pretty darn close. I'd day on a scale of 1-10, previously the shake was at a 5, and now it is 8.5-9, where 10 is zero shaking. I had the car to 120 this afternoon and the shake at that speed was tolerable (in my mind). Back down to legal highway speeds, the shake is hardly noticeable.

I spoke with the tech and he explained to me that nothing was broken, with regards to the assembly that holds the glass in place. So perhaps, it is just another Ferrari quirk that has no factory solution.

My guess is the front wheels are ever so slightly out of balance so that it only occurs at higher speeds and not enough to shake the whole car. It's easy for the stick-on internal weights they use to get knocked off. Also cars sitting for a long time can get flat spots/out of round.
