That's a reasonable goal. And I'm not complaining, so I wish you the best with it.
I would strive to make the site more like rennlist the Porsche site. I am in the process if buying a 911 and have been posting there recently. The advice is very to the point. I do not know how they cultivated this community but it is very positive. Good luck with your site. I enjoy it. Drew Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
6 Speed has died some and I know Pelican Parts really strong, but FerrariChat has similar activity to RennList and there are how many more Porsches?
I'm sure this is been discussed before but can we separate all Ferraris official SP projects into one forum of its own
I don't know if this has been suggested here or not, but make the posting of a YouTube video link work whether they use https or http in the link name. This should be very easy to implement. Just search your source code for your vBulletin software for "youtube". In the code, it is recognizing the "http" link for www.youtube.com and adding the embedding html code for the video in the post. Modify that logic so that it also handles "https:". The logic adds the EMBED tag. <object width="425" height="350"> <param name=''movie'' value="http://www.youtube.com/v/5NVco1YrO-s&ap=%2526fmt%3D18&fs=1"></param> <param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param> <embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/5NVco1YrO-s&ap=%2526fmt%3D18&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="350" wmode="transparent"></embed></object> change it so that it also does the EMBED tag for https. <object width="425" height="350"> <param name=''movie'' value="https://www.youtube.com/v/5NVco1YrO-s&ap=%2526fmt%3D18&fs=1"></param> <param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param> <embed src="https://www.youtube.com/v/5NVco1YrO-s&ap=%2526fmt%3D18&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="350" wmode="transparent"></embed></object> Thanks.
Have a for sale area under each generation of F-car... Too hard to look for 430 parts when they are in with all the other generations
Hi Rob, what I mean is that even though I know there may be a thread on a certain SP that if I want to go read it or add some information about a car that it's not necessarily quick or easy to find, especially if it has not been discussed in a while and also the data or documentation of the car isn't centralized in one single thread. For example they way things are structured now if I want to read about SP1 or maybe I found some new pictures documenting it that I want to post and record here about the car then I'll need to go google search F-Chat for threads on SP1 because it hasn't been discussed in years and is on page who knows in maybe the F430 forum or perhaps the one off forum and then try to decipher which forum to read or post in for documentation than it gets pretty convoluted. If the Ferrari SP projects had there own forum and each SP project had its own designated thread within the SP forum we would all know exactly where to go to read and post data or info on the car. If one wants to read or document about Sp1 you simply go to it's thread.
Is there also a way to embed the short links? Most folk browsing on a mobile device get those from their apps but few know how to do the manual edit to convert it into a long link. All l the best, Andrew.
maybe your Social Media guys could have picked a picture where the Ferrari was in front of the Corvette and Porsche, not behind? Image Unavailable, Please Login
The Porsche and Corvette were in the process of being scalped... I mean lapped by the Ferrari. All the best, Andrew.
just looked up the results, the Ferrari finished behind the Labre Corvette and Gulf Racing Porsche at COTA this year
go look up Nurburgring times... anyway, silly arguments aside, I do hope you see my point from a marketing perspective.
But, a GT3 RS and ZR1 (or Z06) are stock. I agree, GT3 RS/Z06 to Speciale is a more proper comparison, but even a base model 458 (when optioned) is about three times the price of a Z06 and 1.5-2 times the price of a GT3RS. If you're just comparing base model to base model, clearly the 458 has an advantage...but it's not as great as it should be. Mark
my point being sports car racing isn't that fair, they do competition adjustments and Ferraris end up having to breathe through a straw so the others look competitive.
Which I'll never understand. If the others cannot keep up, they should go back to the drawing board. Mark
