Hey Chris, it was great meeting you today at the Ferrari Finali Mondiali in Daytona. Turns out, a genuine SS was parked three cars behind your 348 in the parade lap lineup area. I appreciate all the kind words.....this project has been quite involving. We were able to check out the end caps on a real Speciale car over the weekend at the Finali Mondiali in Daytona and it's safe to say that our end caps are quite a bit better. The OEM ones appear to be hand finished cast aluminum pieces.....they were pretty much what I expected for the era. Great to finally see them. I figured you were going to like them. I'm glad you're going to be able to get that car back to the way it should be.... Going to work on your hardware kit and get these shipped out to you....we confirmed that those inner light covers fit with no need to modify them or anything so you should be all set.
Cool...those inner light covers are weird...I've been wondering about how it all fits together since I sourced the other NOS items when I got the car 1.5 years ago...it will be SO nice to bring this mystery to a close!
We did a test fit with my inner covers on our studs....it all fit. Going to try and do a set of studs for the lights next week for you. Hoping the spacers are going to show up any day now. I'll get an update on Monday from my machinist. They had to make 2 very small changes...then they were going run off 3 sets. Sorry for the delay on them....I wanted to get those last 2 changes made.
No need to apologize... My car will be sleeping for the next 4mo anyway Love how it's turning out so far!
