    Heyyy Shark!

Yepppp....everyone told me so. But, I had to experience it.
Since when have I gone from dreaming and lusting over the latest Ferrari and Lamborghini to thinking how much more namby pamby is the newest going to be.

Ferrari side, I'm good but for Lamborghini, I'm going to go as far as an Aventador SV Roadster. If it sucks, I'm going back to a Diablo.
...but before, dig deep about computer alternatives.

Full circle for the both of us it seems Kurt lol You sold your Testarossa, found the marenello boring then went back to the tr.
I'll go up to the Aventador and see how it feels. The Diablo computer issues weigh heavily on me though.

The computer issues I think are over stated. A Diablo performance program is incredibly simple compared to modern ones. Within the last year, someone on a forum said there was already a plug and play system that was being marketed.

But look, even if that wasn't true, you could have 30 of us pool $2k apiece, and get a system designed for us (software programming) that would be better than we have now. Get back to a commercially available single-ECU system that is customizable.

So on to the Aventador huh? The thing is just so damn fast, I personally would not have a use for it. The top is certainly miles ahead of the M, as are the looks.

The weaknesses are of course the transmission, which I thought works worse than a M due to the freaking power, and just like all the other modern cars......it provides WAY too much isolation. The roadster helps....but it too seems more isolated than a 640.

More often than not, I find myself looking into the past because all these cars ride and feel like a Mercedes.

OK, found the link to the system I referred to:

Sooo... I sold my 512TR back in 2000 for $127,000. I'm looking for a Testarossa now, since pricing on the 512's is now stupid money. I've read the last 5 pages or so of this thread and see people talking about prices in the $50-75,000 range. Where are these cars? I saw the Celebrity Cars Testa go for $99,000 supposedly. but could see the interior was pretty beaten up. Looked like some hard miles. Sold from Vegas.

It seems most of the really nice lower mileage cars are priced at $125-170,000. Is this the new normal? I don't mind paying even the high end of that for a really nice car, but, Lord how the prices have gone up. Pretty sure if I buy one now -- at these prices -- it means the market is going to go soft on me.

That appears to be mine but the car is already sold. Not sure why they are running an ebay auction.

I looked at your car, Sparta49, and missed it by a bit. Beautiful car. I spoke to Lindsey about it.

I didn't realized it was Sparta49's car. No wonder why I thought it was a good one.

Scam...just to lure potential customers. Shall we change the title of this thread to "Current Testarossa scam"? We would report much more action than cold hard facts about actual sales.

Aer some nicer, lower mileage Testarossas worth $150-175,000? That seems to be where I am seeing the really nice examples that seem to need nothing.

This from a comment on Bring a Trailer..."Searching the VIN shows an archived eBay ad from October with a $115K price. So we have a ways to go to reserve, or expectations have been adjusted".

So this Testarossa was sold on eBay for $115,000.00 some time ago, will be interesting to see if it meets the reserved price.

My estimate will be the Testarossa will not meet the reserve price.

He seems to be a serious driver and said he has previously owned a TR.
