That problem isn't actually in the city - worst part of the highway is from the outskirts of Bne to Caboolture - just a nightmare and they can't build new lanes faster than traffic is growing... Eventually some bureaucrat might stumble on the concept of public transport for these dormitory areas.
I think you'll find Brisbane is the largest,in area ,of any of the capital cities in Australia and extends past where you've indicated..and besides you've shot yourself in the foot 'cos the problem started IN Brisbane area...at first 20Klms..then 'down' to 15Klms. Either way it takes 5 minutes to go from one side of my township to my shed on the other side.
Read it again - blockage was from North Lakes to Glasshouse (which is odd because it usually clears around Caboolture). Brisbane city boundary is Pine River, south of there.
