    The following pics are of Lake Tinaroo.

    It was commissioned in 1959 to instigate the tobacco industry.

    It now feeds the sugar,maize,potato,avocado,mango,and tourist industry.

    The tourists are now arriving in droves,in their 4wd's,for all the wrong reasons.

    The first pic is down the bottom of Favier Rd where the once causeway has turned into the boatramp.

    The pic is taken at the highwater mark where I would normally put my kayak in to go for a paddle up and down the Barron river,the source of the dam.

    The next pic is of what would normally fill the camera with water,looking up the Barron and showing what's there now.

    The pic after that is taken from the top of the boatramp at the same high water mark,the 'Cruiser is the one on the right with my 6'4" son standing next to it ........in the middle of the Barron.

    The first shot is now around to the main body of the dam at the boatramp,high water mark,looking toward the point of the next pic.

    The next is where Ben,the 'Cruiser and the bloke taking the pics would normally be about 20 metres under water...looking back to the boatramp.

    Wow re the drought pics, that really is incredible. But this being Australia, it'll probably end up under 20m of water next time it rains, even if that isn't for another 3 years. Tough to be a farmer...

    They filmed this idiot on tv yesterday with a beer in his hand ..... seriously !!!!

    He was 3 times the legal limit when he killed the poor boy .... if it was my boy he killed he'd need someone to pray for him !!

    Probably the bit where the family of the victim invited the perpetrator to join in a prayer service and offered forgivness for his crime(for that is what dui causing death is)...to which he accepted.
