    For long term storage (over 6 months) should the bladder tanks be full or dry?

    get VP fuel and then you dont need to worry about it

    That's interesting - thanks. What's the thinking behind using vp? Additives or something else?

    I have normally left mine with half to two-thirds of a tank of ethanol-free regular fuel.

    normal pump gas goes bad in 6 months, the VP stuff lasts a few years

    So the bladder tanks prefer to stay wet ?

    The OEM advice is to keep them wet. This is another reason why it is preferable to have recent manufacturing dates when installing new bags.

    VP makes ethanol-free gas in 5 and 50 gallons. Its the ethanol that eats the rubber.

    In the UK I normally use BP Ultimate (which is readily available at from the pumps at filling station) and is rated E0 (zero-ethanol), and is only about 10% more expensive than regular 5% ethanol fuel. Unfortunately, the law here will soon mean that the ethanol content will go up to 10% on all fuels at which point we will need to find some VP-equivalent. Thanks for the info.
