First of all, Happy New Year! So this morning I took my car out for a drive. Got to the end on my street and the 1/4 bank light went on and off a couple times so I went back home and noticed a piece of the converter in my garage. Question is can I drive it like that without damaging anything? Thanks in advance

Agree. Since they're breaking apart it can clog the exhaust up. Though unlikely it could develope some other issues like getting things too hot.

indeed time to replace the cats..

but my question is how on earth did that piece come out..?
I don't see how it could have passed through the exhaust and out the tips..?

Replace the cats, I just replaced mine on my 348 spider with these from Evoflow and they are very well made and you cannot beat the price.
I passed California smog with flying colors. :)

This is a blessing in disguise. You will get better performance out of the replacements.

    Dave,
Are the Evoflows shown in your last post the same as what you mentioned in your first post?
    Thanx,

    Hi Richard,

Yes they are. I bought 1 set and installed them in the summer of 2015 and that is what is on the car now.

I have hyperflows bought from a Nick at Forza. They are over ten years old and many many miles.

Looks like Fabspeed have vastly increased the price of their re-core service since I purchased mine about two years ago.

Evoflows look nice but -appear- to use magnaflow metallic cats. (which are 100 each).

I keep saying it but I really need to make some more of these as I did with my car and save you guys some money.

Nicksforzaferrari.com still advertises hyper flow maybe he still has stock. If not he would hook you up with something else I am sure.

So you made your own by re-coring your original with magna flow cores? Or modified the magna flows?
