PP performance did a 10.20 in a spider with an exhaust and tune do you think we will see a 9 sec 488 soon? https://instagram.com/p/BPDU9lUBEjJ/
If you mean 9.99? Sure. If you mean 9.00? No. It takes quite a bit of power to cut 1.2 seconds off and get into low 9's. Only other way would be to use a drag tyre. But with MPSS tyres where a lot of the time has to be gotten at the top end, I'd think at a very least 350-400 hp over stock would be needed to run a 9 flat. In stock form, the limit seems to be around 770-780 bhp before engine mods needs to be performed.
It's definitely possible to dip into the 9's with bolt-ons and a tune. I am not sure if they messed with the tires much (size, pressure, style) but should definitely not be a difficult task to make happen. I have a couple guys that are running our performance package (full exhaust suite/ECU upgrade) and a set of radials that will be hitting the track to make this happen once the winter passes.
Here is a 10.3 pass in a stock 488GTB BoostAddict - Bone stock Ferrari 488 GTB runs a 10.3@137 1/4 mile in Bahrain Regards Michael
Seems like there was a 1 sec lapse in reaction when light turned green Sent from my SM-N920P using Tapatalk
The time does not start until the car moves, he could sit there for 10 seconds and it wouldn't effect the time.
Why do you guys think we haven't seen many low 10sec passes yet with the exception of the above. Also seeing a lot of variance with some cars running in the low 11s .
488 will easily run under 9 seconds if modified. Underground Racing already made Huracan runs 7.8s. Here's the video : https://youtu.be/XxL2AilThJA
The 488 is fast but there is NO WAY it will "easily" run UNDER 9 sec if modified. Getting it into the 8 sec range would require MAJOR modifications. The Huracan is awd and is generally a better platform for straight line speed. Further, the Huracan requires significant modifications too to get into the 8 sec or low 9 sec range. My question was regarding the disparity between cars (488s) with respect to performance. My own experience after owning a Huracan , Mclaren and 488 is that the 488GTB is very fast and certainly competitive with even the Mclaren under the right conditions and in the right hands. Spiders seem to run a bit slower than coupes despite the claims from Ferrari and tires , track, temperature and driver seems to make a big difference as well. I haven't taken my 488 to the drag strip yet but based on comparisons with the other cars I've owned I'm confident the 488GTB is at least a mid 10 sec car likely trapping in the 135-137 range with a good launch and under the right conditions.
Much more than that for a 7 second build. Not comparable at all to a 488 with cheap bolt on mods Getting into the 9s with bolt-ons is crazy impressive
try $300k plus in mods for a Lambo to go that fast. My GTR makes 1500 hp and it cost over $100k in mods.
The UGR Lambos are insane. I wonder if anyone has tried TT'ing the Ferrari FF. It has AWD, V12 and what appears to be quite a bit of space to work with under the hood.
Finally! I remembered about you and this post! Heres one in Bahrain doing a 10.6 @ 216KPH https://youtu.be/nLJM_7Z_AG8
