DH Racing has automatic Ferrari entry, GTam Scuderia Corsa, 2 automatic Ferrari entries, GTam AF Corse, 3 automatic Ferrari entries, GTPro 2x, GTam 1x JMW Motorsport has automatic Ferrari entry, GTam Clearwater Racing has automatic Ferrari entry, GTam What about Risi, 2nd at LM 2016...hopefully they will be back in '17 GTPro Will all (new) teams accept the automatic entry?
'Not sure of the question.... However, 'posted on the Tentenths Le Mans board: "Not sure if this has already been mentioned but on the WEC twitter it's says that the entry list is being announced on 2nd February!"
In recent years, apart from giving priority to the winning teams in different categories from the previous year, the ACO have accepted most of the regular entrants in the WEC and the ELMS on the Le Mans list, on the condition that they register for the whole championship. That leaves very little scope for wild card entries at Le Mans. Each year, there are teams that decline the invitation, have gone out of business or can't afford the trip there.
ACO allways has a mix of makes in e.g. GTam 13-14 cars If all Ferrari teams accepts automatic entry there will be a lot of Ferrari's in that class If they do not rent/lease a car (458) they all need to buy a new 488...
its just a question of budget... plus they can rent an existing 488GT3 and convert into the GTE Version and back after LM
okay, so 'easy' to convert one of their own 488GT3s into a GTE (DH Racing has two cars) JMW Motorsport, unknown yet if they will continue with a 488GTE or a different make or even class...
yes ist "easy" to convert the GTE into the GT3 and back (whatever easy means..) but possible yes and it has already been done at Michelotto. if the invited Teams will accept the Invitation is only a matter of available Budget...
Vista Jet Motorsport by AF Corse Thomas Flohr & Francesco Castellacci confirmed their entry in GTam FIA WEC
source: sportscar365 AF Corse – A second Ferrari 488 GTE car will be on the grid in GTE-Am, in a sister AF Corse entry fielded for the team’s ELMS graduates Thomas Flohr, Francesco Castellacci and a to-be-announced third driver.
Will they lease the "71" from AF Corse or new car? New 51 & 71 might be a little modified for LM 488 GTE Evo.....
i would not call it evo. The question is, where u need to modify? Engine? No... car has enough power. The problem was the bop, the 488 engine can do 650hp so it makes no sense to develop to 700 if bop screws u down to 500... Aero? Not possible due to homologation unless u bring a new model which is not the case (apart from minor aero modifications). No the main focus is to work on details to better understand the existing car and parameters. I know on what Michelotto and team has worked on but u understand that i will not share it here
Homologation? What's that??? We don't need no stinkin' homologation... Just ask Ford and the FIA/ACO. There's apparently no such thing any longer, at least for "some". "Those were the days my friends. We thought they'd never end..." lorenzobandini
Bruni still has contract for four years and want to break with Ferrari after he signed a new contract last year. Lawyers now involved, what a pity! Leave Ferrari for an LMP1 Porsche drive. Maybe better for Ferrari to release him. Or do deal with Porsche and get one of theirs or even from Audi (both Volkswagen AG) Romain Dumas?
I don't know if the Risi car got updated for the Daytona 24 but I guess the Pro cars will get some sort of mods I want the rosso corsa car on P1 after 24H
