yes they sure do. You might get 90~100kms out of a tank on a calm lake or bay, but never when pushing up swells in open ocean.

The only good thing you can say about the idiot is that at least a jetski is unsinkable, so safer than an open tinnie.

it's pretty easy to get washed a long way sometimes; fellow swimmer and I suddenly realized we were heading to NZ recently after we were floating / chatting for a bit without kicking.
