Then we bring tools, I get a small keg, and we have a good afternoon. I will let one of the other guys buy the pizza.

Had same issue on my 550, 1/2" gap. Was told it was worn out regulator. Bought used one for $600, a little better...but still have a small gap1/8". Trying to decide if I want to spend $1150 for the new regulator...ugh. Or is it something else...?

I wouldn't! It sounds like the glass itself needs to be adjusted on the mounts. If it's a friction fit It could have likely slid from use and gravity over all these years. Remember, it cant' be too tight as to avoid cracking the glass. I think it needs to be "re-centered" so to speak. Good luck. To get around the auto dip feature, throw the switch in the latch mechanism. I missed this trying to do tint myself and pranged up the sticky trim on the passenger door. It was the first thing the pro guy did and was good for a laugh.

Just did the same thing with my 360. Bought used regulator on eBay and fought with every adjustment there is for hours and hours over a few days and I have it about 95 percent perfect.

I too am convinced that a brand new regulator assembly would get me exactly where I need to be as these things start to give up immediately and just continue to get worse over time.. Not a great design. When I opened up my drivers side door it was clear others have dug around in there and messed with it before me.. And my car while being a model year 2000 has a little less than 9000 miles on it.

Little tip that helped me get the front up more than any amount of adjustment could is that I slotted the hole for the bolt that when lowered in the slot actually raises the front of the window up.. It's located towards the middle of the door. If I had a shop drawing handy I'd post it to identify the specific bolt :/. Slotting the bottom side of that hole allowed the bolt to be lowered further, hence bringing up the front of the window further then the normal amount of adjustment would allow. Just FYI anyone else messing with this.

If anyone can post the drawing, I can help identify the bolt hole I'm talking about.
