Bad angle and distortion, but here it is. Can't upload since I'm out of storage space. Maybe someone else can. No need for visible side intake and also looks like 570GT size shelf space behind the seats. Aero sculpting looks pretty impressive on this. http://i63.tinypic.com/orjvau.jpg
So where was this taken? Clearly there are people there with their phones out, so it's not like a sneaky spy shot. Press?
I think it was the dealer preview that took place in the UK in early November of last year. That's the only group who I'd expect McLaren would allow to photograph the car. Even at the Winter Ball where guests got to see it for :59 seconds their phones and cameras were set aside before leading them into the room for the reveal of the car. EDIT: I was wrong - that's a room full of journalists, so someone deserves to lose their job for clearly violating an agreed upon embargo. >8^) ER
Very striking, to my eye though a 675 is a much more attractive car. I'll need to see one in the flesh.
I get a bit lost about what is front and rear in that design. Very symmetric silhouette and the air opening is reversed from many other current designs (when combine with a door "step" rear fender intake is much more common than front fender outlet).
Definitely was not expecting to see the car today! My only complaint is the same with many modern exotics and its the paint scheme. If the roof will be painted black PLEASE leave the door metal around the door body color. That whole black upper destroys the sweeping lines of the car. Can not wait to this car is fully revealed! Will be interesting to see if they unproved the exhaust note with the new 4l. Maybe they learned something from AMG.
Can't argue with that. If they can get their depreciation issues stable, it could make for some interesting times.
Much like the P1, some wing is available at the push of a button. >8^) ER Image Unavailable, Please Login
I could be wrong but I seem to recall people saying that the car shown at the Winter Ball had a glass roof. Not sure if that changes anything for ya though. Can't wait to see this in person anyway... Good chance I'll swap out my 12C for the spider version of this.
That's the second official teaser image from McLaren, so you are good. You can also see it's outline in some of these latest prototype spy photos: 2018 McLaren 720S (P14) spy shots >8^) ER
I love the car's nose. It immediately struck me as aggressive, sexy, and, also, very familiar. It reminded me of something...a shark! And now I know that's, to my eye, anyway, easily the case! Check out this comparison I've put together between the 720s nose and that of a tiger shark! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
You're definitely on to something there. McLaren's Chief Designer, Robert Melville, shared this image via his IG account today with the caption: #P14 #everythingforareason #mclarendesign #inspiredbynature #mclaren >8^) ER Image Unavailable, Please Login
WOW!! That's gotta be where some of the design inspiration came from!! I had not seen that!! The Mclaren Shark!! Love it!
It had a glass roof and really beautiful trim details. Also this latest picture suffers from some sort of extreme lens distortion that makes the car look twisted and improperly proportioned. The official pictures are going to look so much better and wait until you see the interior. The car at the Winter Ball wasn't opened but they showed a video which included some of the interior details. I have a hunch there are lots of surprises about this car that have not been publicly revealed
