What's this 911 worth?

It was just meant for comparison and I'm sure you could buy it under ask ..... The car asked about here could also have needs lurking under fresh sloppy paint. One thing is for sure though, it ain't no $50K car unless the VIN confirms it as a Carrera. Heck, you can find a long hood 'T' with needs for less than 50K.

 

Sold my red long hood 73 with 3.2 motor for $28k after dealer cut. Tough to sell non orig P cars with this vintage. Color on this one is another discount, non running etc. I'd say $20k dealer valuation and maybe $25k retail at best with 6 mon on market before sale. Overall toy car market soft these days.

 

There just isn't enough data to make any reasonable judgements. I would want to have a look at all the VIN stamps to see if all the body stampings and VIN plates are original and untampered. "If" it checked out, you could have a good '74 tub that's perfect to build a correct IROC or 3.0RS. I'd like to know the engine number and type so we can see if it's a mag or alu case. If it's a 3.0 with the injection and crank fire that's shown on it, it could be a 300+ hp motor. The gearbox would be a 915. Put that puzzle together and you could have a great hot rod or at the least be more knowledgeable about what you'd sell on.

If the VINs were played with, run, don't walk. If it's all legit and the body is corrosion free, I'd consider buying it.

Hot rods may be worth more now but I agree with Brandon, in the long run, 20+ years from now, the original ones will bring more value

 

Oh no it's not. Looks like Sahara Beige. That's a gorgeous color and definitely a premium over red, white and black.

There should also be a black aluminum tag with the number riveted to the driver's A-Pillar.

This is not a Carrera, no flares. It also has later mirrors installed for some reason. Should be a fun car for someone.
