What kind of red is that? Metallic? What colour is it close to? Tri layer?

Did you get a name for the car? A yes or no will suffice;)

Not sure I follow you here.

The 458 had nothing to do with the 360 and 430. The 430 is an "M" version or Evo version of the 360 platform - just like the 488 is to the 458 and 575 was to the 550.

This will be as much of a new car compared to the F12 as the 599 was to the 575. You can be pretty sure of that. Just because the car is based on the same basic platform as the predecessor, that's not the same as the car is just a slightly revamped version of that car.

As for TdF customers getting upset? Well according to Traveller, the F12M is somewhere in the range of ½ to 1 second slower than the TdF.
If the new car is faster, lighter or comes in a VS, so what? The fact that the F12 was a second faster than the 599GTO does not make the GTO a lesser car. There's more to the TdF than speed. If the F12M turns out to be a hair faster and lighter and Ferrari builds a VS version of it(which they will), and a TdF owner gets really upset about something so trivial, I honestly think it's time for him or her to take a step back and see what the TdF actually has to offer, and then put his or her toys back in the pram.

This game of leap frog with these cars would be impossible to play if one got upset every time something new and more advanced came out. I think most TdF owners are more focused about the new and exciting F12M rather than whether or not it's a hair lighter or more powerful, and also look forward to seeing what VS version they will present of the F12M. Many of those who got the TdF will most likely be offered an F12M VS. I don't think anyone in that situation should feel cheated.

    Live and let live.

Speed is subjective. Driving emotion isn't.

As a TDF owner I completely agree with this statement - eagerly looking forward to seeing the M next week, and confident it will be superior to the F12 and TDF on various performance levels. However I expect the M not to be the razor focused raw car the TDF is, which can get tiring on normal roads over longer trips, but more of a highly sophisticated GT, albeit with amazing performance for a non VS 'normal road' car. The F12M VS will be really special and I am already looking forward to that first preview in a couple of years....BUT I will always treasure my TDF!

Anyone would think Ferrari don't understand their product. Each limited car they make has a particular appeal and in the tdf, it is the viscerous raw nature, probably the best example of, and the most visceral link to the brands DNA since the F40.

We know the M is a very different drive, far more GT and whilst slower than the tdf, will probably be a lot easier to manage to achieve a similar lap time, but it's that difference in the way the car delivers its experience that will always mean the tdf has a special place in the line up, indeed amongst virtually any manufacturers current product.

The M VS will naturally and expectedly be quicker than the tdf, but I think we would be dumb to assume Ferrari will just create a tdf+. Either it will be an Aperta or it just may not be as razor sharp and dangerous as the tdf, the point is the experience will be different and none the less wonderful for it.

As to anyone really giving much credibility to the photoshop image, have some faith. You really think the worlds premier sports car manufacturer would put out that?
