Is that a serious question!? They are a car company not a rocket company. These figures are exactly what we should have expected.
The 0-100 isn't that mind blowing, but the 0-200 time! Wow, what a rocket! Skickat från min MHA-L29 via Tapatalk
Since I decided to stop torturing myself and to wait for the car to appear in my facebook timeline, I have another question : What did you eat ? It interests me a lot...
Am just off to McLaren (F12M next Thursday) - they make you sign an NDA, wonder if F do now. If so a few of you just blew your allocation !! 720 BHP and 1250kgs dry, all new monocoque, will no doubt be an extraordinary thing. Amazed how fast Mac has done this - 5 years !
Extraordinary achievement. Have every reason to believe it will be an extraordinary car, just not for me as I simply cannot get past a V12.
Yes indeed, massive props to Mclaren for pulling this off in such a short short time. Although they have bene involved in racing technology for decades, so this isn't new ground for them. Still, credit where credit is due. I'm pretty sure the 720s will be a fatser car then the F12M; but is that really important at the end of the day? It's the experience that counts.
Sure, massive achievement to squeeze 720hp out of an twin turbo engine in 2017. Not that Ferrari did 740hp without turbos like 5 years ago. Carbon chassis is nice for sure but I did not like it on the road.
Good point, Its not like actual engine size/displacement should come up as an important tid bit of information with the comparison your making. 710 RELIABLE bhp from 4l or less is massive!
Well even if the TdF is a hair faster than the F12M, I'm a bit curious how that would even out if both ran the same tyre. What I'm getting at is that the F12M most likely run a 100% street tyre like the new MPS4S or PZero 4, whereas the TdF run the street/track PZero Corsa 4.
Correct colors of the two cars on display as told to me today are "Rosso 70 Anni" and a yet unnamed gray. The Gray is DARKER than Grigio Silverstone. The red is NOT metallic.
Whist it's great to have all the details confirmed again and more, thank you, as we are all desperate for photographs which I suspect are still a few weeks away, I would ask you different questions so we can get a further impression: How would you describe it in relation to the F12b? How would you describe it in relation to the tdf? Which one of the three would you want most in your garage? What was the overall impression, did you feel, from all potential customers? Many thanks in advance.
