1984 308 GTSi QV with 24,000 miles - Very complete and unmolested $87,500 obo

This Red/Tan 1984 308 was owned by its original owner until 2015. Except for the wheels, which he changed in 1985, it is all original. Included with the car are:

    The original window sticker
The original sales contract from the Ferrari dealer, Grand Touring Cars of Scottsdale, AZ..
All original tools, even including the original extra fuses that came with the car.
    Jack and spare
Books in pouch including emissions and lubricant papers
    Original cover for the top
Both original keys and fuel access keys

    Exact mileage is 23,955

The car had a major service in 2016 including:

    1. New Spark Plugs NKG BP7ES
    2. New Air Filter
    3. New Fuel Filter
    4. New Fuel Accumulator
    5. Transmission oil drained and replaced with Red Line 75W90 NS.
    6. Engine oil drained and replace with Castrol GTX SAE 20W-50
    7. Engine Timing Belts and Tension-er bearings replaced with Hill Engineering PT308 bearings.
    8. Alternator Belt replaced.
    9. AC Belt replaced.
    10. Injectors cleaned and flow tested. Car has original steal injectors, better then the new replacement injectors.
    11. Radiator flushed and filled 50/50 Preston and distilled water.
    12. Window motor actuators cleaned and re-greased.

If you are looking for a perfect car, this is not it. If you’re looking for an unmolested car, original enough to concours, this is it.

We have located an original set of wheels, but have chosen not to put them on the car, as some people don’t want to mess with the metric issue and might opt for reproductions.

The exterior of the car is beautiful and has no issues. There are a few normal wear interior cosmetic issues (see photos) that we have chosen to leave as is, to allow the buyer to choose how to correct them. If you want us to have them done, we can. With a car this original we fell that the patina is important.

It is rare to find a car this complete and unmolested. PM, email, or call with questions.

Thanks for asking. I should have posted that.

This is a 2 owner car. The original owner kept this car from purchase in 1984 until 2015, when he sold it to the 2nd owner who had it less than 2 years, from whom we bought it.

Can you tell me what number 308 this car is? Is it currently registered?

From the description of the history and condition I would go with the original wheels and tires. IMHO the Gotti makes the car look like a low quality amateur car. I always hated the Gotti. Original Metric tires are always available from Longstone now and would make the car twice as nice.

We do not have the original wheels that came with the car, but we have located a set. Personally, I agree that the car should have them. I'm not a fan of Gotti's.

Depending upon the final sales price, we can include them with the sale.

    Find some 16"s....

    That's a 390mm, in the spare??

    Nice car.

The low miles would be a selling point, to me.

Proceed with the 16" wheels, which would have also been OEM for this year.
By 1984, the 390mm "experience" was all but over!

And lose that FRAM filter, UFI or Baldwin ONLY!

I asked the previous owner the same question, if the original wheels were available. I inquired about this car about 2 weeks ago from the previous owner. Its from Livermore, California.

Your going to have a very hard time, in my estimation, getting someone other than a bottom feeder to take that car seriously simply because it is presented with the aftermarket wheels. At least buy a set of metric or reproduction QV wheels. Crazy as it may sound, it's that important to the serious 89k 308 buyer. Same with the Fram filter. Red flag goes up to all but the uninitiated. Looks clean and worthy other than that. GLWS

Having the Gottis wheels would the least of my worries for this car. I think it's worth every pennies as is.

A two owner, low mileage 308 QV. Wow. If I already didn't have mine I would be VERY interested in this car. Then I'd be on the hunt for the Cromodora 16" wheels. GLWS....She's a beauty.

Agreed, put the original wheels on and snap some new pics for the add. Include the Gotti's with the sale and you're sure to get more interest. Not having the original wheels turned me off when I first saw this car. Not that you have them, you're already ahead
