It all matters when comparing pecker size so it seems--which is all people do these days on these cars.

Yup and 99% of these people drive them 1k miles and look at them in the garage. I put over 7k miles on my 458 in 10 months. I bet I do the same to my 488 this year...

Yes, but it should come down to handling. When $50k cars have 707 hp, but can only spin tires and weighs 400 tons, I think the performance around a track maybe really the true measure of a great car. And I somehow believe that McLaren might have figured out how to do both speed and handling... would love to see a true comparison test (that is an idea for the GrandTour)?

Looks like a 1993-2003 (4th gen) Camaro in the front.

Yeah, but we know those 488 numbers are one off "press" cars and not customer cars. All one has to do is look at the published specs of the LaFerrari to know it does not perform as well as Ferrari states. As a former F430 and 360 Modena owner, I wished my cars were a fast as Ferrari said they were on paper.

That's factually incorrect. Many LFs have proven the factory numbers correct. Actually many modern customer Ferraris have posted similar numbers to the ones claimed by the factory. In the old days there were discrepancies, but that was true for all manufacturers.

You always say that, it's not true. They overreached with their LAF claims. But like it's been said, it doesn't make it any less of a car. As evidenced by the $4 MMILLION second hand market value.

I've seen the actual car at the McLaren Winter Ball and it looks nothing like a 458. I've owned two 458s so I'm familiar with how they look. The orange picture is suffering from a pretty extremes lens distortion. The real car is stunning.
