fyi, I put some silicone grease on the pins, but after reading up on this (these are the same as BMW calipers with identical pins and rubber bushings) the consensus appears to be to put nothing on the pins. I think the grease can attract grit and cause the slider to bind, and the wrong grease can damage the rubber ,although others say no problem with silicone grease, and factory calipers come greased. So on the whole I suspect you should install them clean and dry.

certainly is lubrication not correct here as the friction and rubber flexibility are past of the mechanism so do not tuch that with any grease or other lubrication.

For the record, from a BMW web site, that uses the identical calipers, the caliper pin torque is 22 ft pounds or 30Nm

Makes sense for the pin and thread size. The oem replacement pins from BMW come with a type of red Loctite on them, like the same stuff you would see on a speed bleeder. So I would use a medium locktite after cleaning and replacing an existing pin.
