Just saw this on the IAAI sight. 96 GTB totaled in Hawaii. Must have been Magnum PI's son driving. No ACV posted yet. be interesting to see what it's valued at. Image Unavailable, Please Login
engine $10K gear box $5K seats $2K 2 wheels $500 lid, rear valance, and the rest $2K No more than 20K salvage value
Yes, they can make more money, but they need a warehouse, crew, and carry inventory costs for years before they get rid of it all. If only I lived in Texas and have barn...
Ouch. Rear fender looks tweaked too. Crema interior? If it had sport seats I'm sure some of the guys here would be booking a flight to Hawaii right now
If you get it and it's beyond repair, I got dibs on the gear box, all the shift linkage and the whole shift assembly.
The weak spot on the 355s is the floor panel given the tunnel for the rack and pinion and a thin floor board in the front compartment. I can bet my life the middle tunnel in the cab is also bent where the middle console goes with the firewall. The spider frames are more rigid as they come with two extra layers of vertical 1/8 metal beams to compensate for the missing roof.
I usually check IAAI every couple of weeks It wasn't listed last time I checked. No ACV would indicated that the insurance company has not yet appraised the car. It's located in IAAIs Honolulu yard, 91-445A Komohana Street, Kapolei, HI 96707-1715
