Some of you may already know we've been undergoing new projects and new improvements all around HRE. I wanted to have a little fun though so I'm curious if you guys know what's up our sleeve with this. Best guesses what is shown in the photo below?

The last time I saw that many men staring through Plexiglas was in Times Square around 1979. They weren't looking at wheels though.

Those look like HRE employees. They do look intrigued.
It doesn't look big enough to be a real forging machine.

Looks like a load the aluminum block at one end and a finished wheel comes out at the other end and viewing area for each step in the process.

Second guess, influenced by the guys standing in lines would be double stacked Port A Potty system for the next USGP. Full plumbing and air conditioned

You would be right, it's not big enough to be a real forging machine.

I'm sure these guys would have hopped the wall if pizza and beer were on the other side!

    Nope.

Nope, both of those are on the opposite side of the building, good guess though.

You're on the right track with at least your first sentence, haha! Getting warmer!

I think I now know what process takes place in there, but will let others post their guesses and see if I have it correct when it's revealed.

It's been a while with no replies, so I am going to throw mine in. Is it where your carbon wheel barrels are made? Spools of fiber and resin on the materials end and RTM barrels out the other?

    Nope!

Once it's fully up and running it'll be fun to watch, but for now since I've left you guys in the dark long enough... It's a cell system, an automated system which picks up the blank forgings and feeds it into our 4-axis machines. Once the wheel has been cut, the cell system would remove the newly cut wheel, place it in a holding area for us to pick up and take to the next station, while a new blank forging is placed into the 4-axis. Once the construction is finally complete, we'll have some videos posted up so you can see it in action!
