Thanks Dave, busy weekend I've been remodeling a lake house and have little free time to monitor Fchat. I can do clones, which I really believe is a great solution for someone with a single fob and no PIN just wanting a backup for what can be a really expensive problem should that only fob get lost. I'm also putting together matched sets of new fobs with a new PIN number and selling them for a bunch less than the dealer would charge and without all the proof of ownership and time delay that they require. Since your old fobs become unusable once the new set is installed, I've been giving back $150 for trades should someone not want the hassle of trying to sell the old ones themselves. I saw the message about Eric. To my knowledge he's also still cloning fobs in France. When someone contacts me from Europe I tell them to try Eric first.
Hey Mark - are the 3 from the set all unique or are they 3 clones? Just wondering if this option solves the rolling code issue of a clone. And yes, I fully agree that a clone for a backup is a good solution and part of the reason we have a link to Mark's email on our website
They're a new matched set that the immobilizer recognizes as three new unique fobs, so no rolling code issue. Same functionality as a set from the factory.
Plus you get the $150/fob credit for your old fobs. Pretty much the same way I did it when I was providing sets.
