Cars not in the same picture, but this is close. http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/458-italia-488/539793-little-brother-big-brother.html 360 Nero 458 Nero Daytona The Modena picture was taken in the shade; whereas, the Italia picture was taken in the sunlight ... it looks a bit "bleached".
Oh. You sold the 360? I did not realize that. I thought you had both. Your profile says you own two. I thought it would be neat to see them both in the same garage or driveway. Good thread though. Nero Daytona is a great color. I'm a big fan.
and a non-obnoxious brake caliper color to boot! Nice if I never see red or yellow brake calipers again it will still be too soon ;-) Image Unavailable, Please Login
Are you serious - I have a black Ferrari and a black QP s4 for daily use in Cleveland - where grime is standard. If you turn down a color because it needs to be washed you don't have enough passione for these cars. They are mistresses which cost you money and attention and reward you with pleasure. If you are afraid of washing and caressing the flanks of what you love buy a german tank and drive it through the local car wash. I will caress my mistress every morning if need be. .
They do take some work but look beautiful when Clean. My 64 Corvette is Black, it is one of my Garage Queens, so it doesn't see Daily Driver Road Grime. I have found 2 Waxes I like for Black. Pinnacle Souveran - This stuff does not last long but looks great. BlackFire BlackIce - Carnuba, Montan & Polymer Hyrbrid (autopia-carcare has a special making it 1/3 of the Price that you'd read about in reviews) The BlackIce keeps the Dirt off very well, super slick surface Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

Yep, black [metallic] cars rock. Good detail job from time to time helps keep 'em nice. I also make it a point to use good wax after each gentle washing. Image Unavailable, Please Login
since I started this thread and now own a black car, I feel a responsibility to share my finding, overall, black's not as hard to upkeep as I thought and cars in black (when clean) look awesome, so no hypocrite here,, Image Unavailable, Please Login
beautiful picture. I too love black, but truth be told - pollen, dust, etc are can bee is seen so much easier. It can be a pain...but to me - worth it.
If you own a black car, be very careful not to cruise in someone blind spot at night, you are essentially invisible, and Since its a Ferrari, You really don't want him/her changing lanes because he/she could not see you. Oh, and don't leave them in the sun in Texas summers.....
Black is beautiful and its for sale ... Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I will never own another black car of any kind. My wife insisted on a black SUV. Never another one. They look magnificent when clean and at night. Black hides the lines of the car also.
The 612 looks cool in black, but suffers from its scallops (lines) virtually disappearing, except under ideal lighting conditions. That is why I settled on Grigio Silverstone (dark gray). Black looks awesome - I used to won a black BMW 3-series coupe. But, you need to clean them often and any anomaly shows off like a neon sign. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Black is my favourite colour, especially on the 430 which in some colours can look a little awkward! Black is a great slimming colour - right.
On Italian cars, the red ones all come factory equipped with a cop in the rear view mirror. I gave a great deal of thought to color, when I bought my EVO VIII. The red looked terrible, as even the ones on the dealer lot looked faded. Blue wouldn't work on an EVO, as that's Scooby's team color. I saw a grey one -- barely. I was nearly past before I noticed it wasn't another Lexus. I wanted subtle, not invisible. So I went with black. It shows dirt, but it's a rallye car: it's supposed to look funky. But, on the Ferrari, the choice came down to which one I could find to buy. Black doesn't seem to fade, like other colors. But it does get hot when left out in the sun. (Maybe that's why it doesn't fade. You use a cover when you leave it in the sun. ) I keep a soft "diaper" cloth in the car, because the black shows all the fingerprints from the admirers in parking lots.
