    I don't get it. I guess it would be cool to own the original but you could build a a replica with the best of every thing for less than 1/10th the price and have some fun with it.

    Not so much value originality and provenance as much as being able to afford it. And the there is the whole issue of driving a car that costs 3M. What do you do with it?

    Well if you bought it, you do whatever the hell you want with it. You invite your buddy over, sit in it and drink beer if you want. ;)
    It's hard to comprehend, but there are people out there with 10's of BILLIONS of dollars. (Bill Gates is worth over 100 Billion). 3 mil is pocket change for them. They can buy anything they want. And people WANT Steve McQueen.
