The car was originally Sold new in 84 as a turbo koenig widebody The car was ordered from Ferrari in Jan 84 and sold in July 84 via emblem sports car (Nigell Mansell Motorsports) as they were the official Koenig distributor. The car is still all original setup I have all the original documents and history of the vechile The turbo was custom made for the car from RayJay turbonetics and the twin waste gates were custom made by Albert Engineering. The only changes made that I have done was remove the water injection system which was used to help cool the intake and stop detonation and I fitted a more modern intercooler. The intercooler is quite small and just fits but operates better than the water injection, although I can easily fit it all back on to original. As for boost lag. yes its a single turbo, starts to spool at 4500rpm and boost kicks in quite hard at 5000rpm Its capable of running up to 18psi boost and 500+rwhp but its not very drivable
I just read your other thread. Didn't the last TT 328 project rob you of your will to live? Is there not enough pain in your life?
Yes it did but experience and technology is better these days. im going to fit 348 intake, Custom EFI and better suited turbos either a 348 gearbox or a 355 one. not to sure yet as i will be fitting the motor north to south it will probably drive me insane but im a sucker for punishment the issue before was all in the intake flow and the 328 plenum does not like postive pressure from each side
I had a 348 about 15 years ago. Just wasn't happy with it ( no offence to any 348 owners) I prefer the 328 and 308 + I dont have the added cost of another vechile purchase on top of mods The 328 will need work done to sell it as its nern sitting for some time now
Was checking out this 355 on QLD Plates earlier today in Sydney.... just love the way they look...... belong to anyone on here ? It had Astra wedding cars written on the rear window Image Unavailable, Please Login
