The more I see the more I am liking this car :)
As predicted, better in a darker grey shade, but nothing surprising to me, positive or negative. Not really liking the big front fender to tire gap (especially since the car is all aero-racy and should be hunkered down to the ground) and the boxy rear fenders. Back end looks ok.
Drop it an inch and add the springs equal to the tdf and it will drive the way it should - same as other new release Ferraris the suspension needs to be set up correctly.
This matte grey looks awesome. Shows and reveals a lot of lines and ridges that give thrusts and emphasize muscularity of sculptural forms
Thought of that also as it's coming off a transport vehicle. Is front end lift option a thing on front engine cars too? Still don't like the boxy rear fender.
First time I am feeling a bit more optimistic as I hoped a grey would make me feel on this car. Matt may be too lamboesque on this car.......
No question. You would be very dumb, and short of a job, to drive a show car off the transporter without using it.
I also don't love the steering wheel, but not for the prior reasons- all valid. The horn/ airbag cover looks like it doesn't really fit. I don't like how its not integrated.
Agreed, I'm going Tailor Made for mine so will see what can be done but I suspect other than going with matte carbon - not a lot. I wish changing the manettino back to the old style was an option as the new one just looks cheap and tacky.
Thank you for answering my question and chiming in on the apparently high front. Yes, must be that. Regards.
Not sure why people are moaning about the steering wheel. I really like it; obviously just missing carbon inserts.
Excited to see it at GIMS on Tuesday. Flame suit on... In my opinion it has to be in a classy spec: Verde Zeltweg with Cuoio or maybe even Crema. On the fence about green carpets and stitching. Not a fan of the "twisted" wheels, but those can be changed.
Completely agreed. I already discussed this with F12Kid, he also is considering green. Verde Zeltweg should be perfect for the 812. With a "Coto" Poltrona frau leather as shown here. http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/145250790-post704.html
