I have a 599GTO in the UK purchased new by me in 2011. The car has done 4,500mi and at present is only doing a few hundred miles a year. Would you renew the NPW from Ferrari? I have renewed it a few times and only ever had one warranty claim which was less that the GBP3,300 annual cost of renewal. I have no intention of selling the car, and as it's now 6 years old the thought of putting GBP15-20k over a few years into a warranty scheme doesn't make sense. I always thought these cars were pretty reliable anyway. I'd be interested to hear your own experience.
I wouldn't, as you wrote it doesn't really make sense especially if the car is not much driven. I didn't purchase a warranty extension on my 599 GTO either.
In my opinion, a complete waste of money. Especially since you are the original owner, it's not like you don't know how the car was treated. Of course if you've been very neglectful, then by all means buy it!
Same position, but I just did. Probably going to be a waste of money (as are most insurances), until of course, you need them and wish you had them or glad you had them. Actually it's when you don't use the cars regularly that things can start to go wrong especially with age. I rather err on the side of caution, but agree it is expensive for what it is.
