Notes:
This car was formally owned by comedian Adam Corolla who decided to add an air scoop driving fresh air into the engine bay, Chip Foose was involved on this modification.
Shortly after the car was involved in an accident and totaled by the insurance company. The accident mainly involved the front bumper, passenger side fender, wheel, control arms, spring among other parts.

We purchased this car from a gentleman who had the car repair after the accident with less than perfect results. We disassemble most of the car once again and went over most details, replaced all parts with original Ferrari parts, this was all documented on Ferrari Chat; all records will be provided to the new owner.
Since completion the car is keep on a climate control environment.
Two keys, 1 fob, original owners manual, original cats and exhaust will be deliver with the sale of the car.

This car was involved on the Guinness world record attempt at the Ferrari Finali Mondiali 2016 held for the first time ever in North America.

I listen to Adam Corolla's CarCast podcast a lot. He occasionally mentions this car, and makes jokes about selling it just before the prices climbed. He has talked about the addition of the air inlet that Foose designed; but I can't remember why he had it done... (He was concerned about overheating in LA traffic?)

Yes, heat accumulated on the engine bay on heavy traffic; he actually went on detail on one of his podcast. Their model was the roof scoop on the Maserati MC12.

Seem to recall the addition of a stripe and the car being re-clear coated as well.

 

The car was originally equipped with the tri-colore stripe; I did have the roof and rear quarter panels re-clear coated at the time of the repair.

The scope is awesome, I personally love it.

 

Love the car. Were the airbags replaced? Frame damage? Seems like a nice example, and the CS is my grail car, but the history is concerning. Do you have all of the original repair documented?

 

The accident was a front impact, the Airbags were deployed and replaced.

We bought the car already repair but we were satisfied with the results so we took most of it apart again, replaced some parts, repainted some panels, re-clear coated some of the panels, etc.

Yeah, I read through the thread. You're work looks meticulous, but it doesn't address the front passenger frame and suspension aside from the TI spring, which I assume was fixed by the previous owner. Just wondering how extensive the damage was.

 

You are right neither the thread or me addressed your question.

There wasn't any frame damage on the accident; the front right fender, headlight, wheels, spindles and control arms took most or all of the impact.

The car was never pulled, the replacement parts went right where the old ones were disassemble.

I came near on buying this car from Cap One Auto Dismantlers in California when it first came up for sale but I missed it (my son was born that week).

I follow the buyer up until he listed for sale and approached him then and bought it.

 

you've done a fantastic job with the rebuild. I am in the market for a CS but not ready for one with a story at this point, although it comes with an interesting story which can be found all over the internet. very intriguing. I wish you the best in your decision and I am certain the right buyer is out there!

Very nice car and rebuild. You may however want to correct your listing description, since the VIN 133309 is a 2003 car and not a 2004 car. GLWS

 

133309 it's correct. It is an early production car but title as of 2004.

 

The guy is famous on the lambo boards for knowing more about everyone's car than most. Very knowledgeable and resourceful. I agree it's a 2004 car though.

FYI: Adam corolla has a new series on Comedy Central starting this Tuesday! Since he owned the car originally, this makes his ownership a little more interesting.

 

Track, sure. This car is really clean, I don't know if anyone would want to track it. Given is re-constructed but very neat.
