I sold this car to Taiwan in 2009, where is it now?

That has to be the best F50 anyone could own, all the bugs ironed out, all the mechanicals settled in nicely. Simply fill her up with fuel and take her out whenever you like :)

I almost "accidentally" emailed you a link to the current ad for #104120 today without realizing which car it actually was.

Thankfully I stopped short of pressing send and did a quick search first. ;)

It was probably more appealing a year ago when it was available for less than half the (current asking) price.

That's okay, its the thought that counts!

FWIW one of my own USA clients has come to the rescue and we are speaking about his F50, of which he happens to be the original and sole owner from new.

There's been a surge of interest in F50's here in the UK. And buyers are finding it difficult to source well maintained/well documented examples.

Have been offered strong money for mine from several dealers in the past month without prompting.

My pet theory is more owners are keeping the roof on, which transforms the looks of the car. Then again it might be because it's finally being recognized as a work of art.

    Incorrect.
It's finally being recognised as a better driving/sounding/built/more bespoke and genuinely more special Ferrari than all the other limited editions.
Ferrari in the mid-90's - at the peak of it's powers as regards using cutting edge technology to build the worlds most involving cars. Now the tech just does the work for the driver. The new ones...? meh.

I've driven them all and the F50 is king.

Have you noticed the age of f50 buyers becoming younger?

I've driven an F50 myself and I have to say that it put a big grin on my face. The biggest grin of my life I admit. So when someone says that "F50 is king" I know "that cannot be disputed"

The F50 was being picked up for its annual service and my tdf was going back because its rear fog light didn't work (yes I drove it in fog)......
