Well thanks to mechanicservice6 I have downloaded and installed the software. Wow - according to the release notes it does quite a lot:

Early TCUs:
- Clutch configuration
- PIS
- Clutch bleeding actuator
- Engagement selection bleeding

CFC301 TCU:
- PIS Adaptation
- Self Learning
- Reset wear index
- Clutch configuration
- Clutch actuator bleed
- Actuator bleed engagement and selection
- Actuators calibration
- Upload/download of the software installed

ABS
- ABS bleeding
- Steering angle calibration

If it works it will revolutionise the DIY aspect of F430 ownership. No doubt there are bugs but let's see...

 

Do we need the diag 2.0 or diag 2.0 plus adapter?

Does this tool & software require annual renewal or subscription? If so how much is it?

 

You dont need renewal or subscribtion but they do release updates and for those i can direct you to someone that can provide updates for a year pm me if you want updates for a fee or offline one time 2017 updated files

So x431pro3 is actually an android ap on google play called x431_idiag that interfaces through
Launch X431 EasyDiag 2.0 Diagnostic Tool?

How can it do all these things for 50 bucks? What am I missing?

The x431 on playstore is not capable of special functions... the pro 3 is a much more expensive tool and that app is not on playstore. It comes with the red adapter which is the same as the much cheaper yellow version... the only difference between them is their serial numbers but now the app has been edited to acept the yellow serial number. Allowing you to have dealer level tool

OK! So, you got my attention!
Doing a clutch change right now on my MY 2000 360 F1 (not possible to adjust PIS manually on that MY), and this seems to be exactly what I'm looking for. Have already bought the CS TCU and want to do the manual setup myself.

Have anyone of you guys tried this device for such a job? Can anyone confirm?

If it works (looks like it will in the vid), it would be great. Getting all the other features such as bleeding the F1 system and so on makes this device a great buy.
