    The stupid painter thing has always made me wonder about the positioning of the connectors behind there.

    As pointed out, you can not stretch the wiring loom very far..

    I had a accident that damaged my rear lights, so I know a little bit about them.

    As the age they get really brittle, so a fresh set on someone's dime is a good idea!

    I'm not sure how reliable this info is, but a good friend who owns a BB512 told me that his taillights were reversed in order to meet the "federalized" rear red side marker light requirement. Reversing the lights kept them from having to hack a side marker into the rear quarter panel since the taillight was visible from the side when outboard.

    That makes sense for euro cars like the BB that had to be federalized. But when people claim the same thing for US spec cars or they came from the factory like that it's BS.
