Never saw an OSCA like this: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/OSCA-Maserati-Vignale-1500-cc-1957-Color-Rosso-Ferrari-/320976110847?pt=US_Cars_Trucks&hash=item4abbaac4ff Has anybody more infos? Image Unavailable, Please Login
This seems to be a period photo of that car; found in the wheels of Italy website (www.wheelsofitaly.com). A MT4 I suppose. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I would put it in the "fake" category. For one the engine is a fiat-Osca, not a pure Osca engine. Second, Vignale would never have constructed a cr tha the trim piece below the door is not horizontal and integral. Many of th body features appear token at best. Three, the "period" picture is just a photoshop picture of this car made out to look old. Shall I go on?? Is it made at the Vignale branch in Belgium? I hear Production in the 2000's there was very active. Elad Elad
Another "mysterious" that came to light in Belgium (as much of the others fake-a-do`s from that country ...)??
I fully agree with Elad, there is no such thing as a 1957 "prototype competition" OSCA. It should be noted also that "wheelsofitaly.com" is a "WIKI" type site, where any registered reader can contribute entries, making it easy to guess who posted the "competition barchetta" photos. I hope the bidders on eBay know what they are doing. Dan
The guy selling that car is "Too Cooll Yo"? Hummmmm.... Most of his sales are in the 5-25 euro range...double Hummmm.......
I know there has not been any action on this thread in years but I have been looking for more photos of a particular car. It is an early MT4 #1121 driven and owned by Bill Spears. Here are some photos I have of the car. I am also looking for any history of this car between 1957 and 1972. Thanks, Dario Here is a link to more photos of #1121 Shaw Photo Share Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Seems Bill David drove 1135 only after September 1953 (1135 was manufactured in September 1953, and probably delivered a few months later). From March to September 1953, he drove another OSCA, chassis 1127 according to the records, but possibly, he did not own the car, as he shows as driver only for a few months, and George Moffett appears as driver and sometimes "entrant" before and after the David period.
I am looking for information on OSCA 1500 TN #1180. What do you guys know about it? Any pics? Thanks! All the best, Gaëtan
Found this photo from old Manovella magazine, don't know which chassis it is (not 1180) Image Unavailable, Please Login
Anybody know the chassis# of this light blue Osca 1500 TN raced at Targa Florio 1959 ? Driven by Perrier / Binachon / Nebon Carle. Some sources state it never started, but doesn't seem to be the case here. Here are a few photos, number plate seems to be 228228-TO Thanks ! Based on research by my friend John de Boer the TO 228228 license plate is for the serial number: 1146
Indeed thats what i found too, in the Orsini Osca book. But the blue car doesn't correspond to what 1146 look liked at MM in 1955. So anybody know then VIN of this blue car wearing TO228228?
Period photo from Orsini book (MM 1955) And photo today (MM 2016) Car is the same with Morelli body. So i don't understand what the blue car with number plate TO 228228 has to do with 1146? Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
