Unobtainium Delays/Closure

None of the exercises seem particularly dumb, however, I'm pretty sure that the ones that cause the most discomfort are also the most beneficial ones(sigh).

Obviously a case of "no pain, no gain".

Yes, I've been very fortunate, no complications so far.

I'm absolutely amazed that there hasn't been a hint of leakage from the incision. With surgical superglue there aren't even stitches to itch!

 

Actually, there are significant chemical differences between hardware store superglue & medical grade adhesive:

I do keep some of the small one time use superglue on hand for small cuts that might require a couple of stitches, but I'm careful to make sure I get the edges aligned & just coat it over the top of the wound. It does sting a bit.

 

If I were you I'd be really worried if one did. Z-nation comes to mind...

 

It's been 6 weeks since my surgery. I'm now walking without a cane. My knee is still pretty stiff & prone to swelling. I start outpatient physical therapy tomorrow, will be going 2x/week.

Unobtainium is back in business: "On the shelf" items ship within 1-2 days.

However, Physical Therapy along with icing my knee down still consumes an amazing amount of time. So Repairs & "Made to order" items are still running somewhat slower than usual.

 

I have everything I need to make the spring reel except for a mold for the back plate.
I have a mold for the top, and 25 custom spring reels.

The mold will take 6 to 8 hours of machining time, but will have to wait until I'm recovered from my 2nd knee replacement, so would be late summer or early fall.

I also have access to a complete strut, just need to make drawings & line up a machine shop to make them. Again, no time to work on this until after my 2nd knee replacement.

I'm having my Clutch leg knee replaced & just won't be able do much work during my initial recovery . My assistant will do what he can, but he's only available a couple of days/week.

 

There are rumors out there that I'm semi-retired, or closed. Ain't so.

Currently I'm pretty well recovered from my throttle leg surgery, with little Unobtainium backlog so orders are being turned around a bit faster than normal.

I expect this to last until my next surgery on August 2nd.

Yes PT is continuing, working on restoring full flexability, I'm still limping a bit, but currently business is so light it isn't an issue.

 

However until about September 15th Unobtainium orders for 'on the shelf' items should ship within 2-3 days, and made to order items may take 5 to 9 days. During late September & October orders for 'on the shelf' items should ship promptly, & made to order items may

take 1-3 days longer than normal. Business should be fully back to normal by the end of October.
