I was talking to Kerry M. about this car last week. What a shame. You just have to shake your head on how a $58,000.00 car in 1989 ends up looking like this. Always liked the 228, especially with the 5 speed manual.

Hey Mike! For what they want I'm tempted to go look at it. Not sure I'm gonna have time this weekend though, family in from out of town. We'll see. Since selling the 308 left a hole in the garage I've been thinking about something a bit quirky just to have fun with and not really care too much about. We'll see. I don't really need a full on resto project though either. I'd almost rather have something running that just needs cosmetics. This one looks like a LOT more than cosmetics.

There is actually another one '85 I think for only about $2,000. It would almost be worth the extra money to get one running. Who knows, just looking until I find something that really makes me think....I need that!!

    :)

Run. That's a very expensive interior to put right. If it's been abused this badly already probably the mechanicals will be a mess.

That Shamal reminder me of my 1991 222 4v. which was also black with black lights. That was a really GOOD biturbo. Never left me stranded and was scary fast!

Does anyone need a ZF S5/18-3 gearbox? Complete w/ bell housing & shift lever, dusty from sitting but good shape. Would prefer to trade for a set of 15" or 16" 4x98 wheels to fit an original Biturbo coupe. Offset +0 - +20, centerbore is 73.1 (I think?). Thanks chaps.

Don't know if it "fits" but certainly it's not tuned properly for a Biturbo but maybe it's sort of OK? Konis and Bilsteins have been adapted.

Take a travel over to Biturbozentrum Yahoo Groups. This topic has been discussed many times and there's a database which might have a reference. Have to put up with the old interface though ...

I have the following part numbers as possible substitutes for oe 1984 2500cc Biturbo front calipers:

    19569 (oe #34111119021) - left
    19568 (oe #34111119022) - right

Can anyone verify? I can't remember where these numbers came from.

19568/ 19569 are A1 Cardone numbers, 311111119021/ 31111119022 are ATE numbers from the early '76-'78 BMW 630CSI. They may also interchange into Raybestos FRC3243/ FRC3244. Thanks everyone.
