We are having some of the same problem in Omaha that one of the Texas Cars and Coffee with too many cars and people filming exits. I believe there was a solution posted on here in which the owners were able to get together covertly and rid themselves of the crowds. Id like to know how well this has performed. Is there a fee? How do you communicate? Same spot?

If there is a model someone could present to me I'd love to implement it in our own cars and coffee. Thanks.

The link posted above will give you most info you're looking for, but as to how well it has done? I have only gone a couple of times but it has been much more "comfortable" than C&C. Controlled entry so far less traffic (both car and foot), way less chaotic, much more relaxing. Participants and their passengers are the only ones let in so this alone cuts down on population problems. I stopped going to C&C many years ago and would never leave my car's side. This event, I leave the windows down and don't even think twice about leaving it out of sight.

It is held at the same place every month.

    Yup.

This element of "comfort" is what is being sought. We have considered making people pay a $5 to view the cars and donate it to a non-profit, the sad fortunate thing about that is many scrubby people are not willing to pay that so it would help weed out the in-desirables.

I just got my C6Z out of the shop and considered applying, but not sure I achieve the desired status. But, wouldn't mind paying a $5-10 fee though, esp. for a worthy cause. Heard far too many good things about this event. :)

    /2cents.

It's much more calm and relaxed. You can walk away from your unlocked car without any fear of the car being molested.

Having said that, I did quit going to the Dallas (Plano) Cars and Coffee last year after a spate of accidents (mustangs and vettes spinning out into walls and crowds). However, I went to the one yesterday. Much more controlled and calm. The only downside was that it seems that revving your vehicle seems to be a big thing. There were multiple cars and bikes engaging in loooong rev contests. Ever hear a bike held against it's rev limiter for 5 minutes straight? Not fun.

Part of the reason Cars and Cannoli works is because it's behind a secured fence. There's only one way in and they do turn people away. That being said, at the show a few weeks ago somebody brought a convertible Rolls. Some random guy was leaning on it while looking in. He and buddies looked more like Cars and Coffee types.

    Appreciate that, thank you. :)

Maybe I'll get to see the hype for myself in May, then.

It looks like they want you to register. However the site would not allow access to enter the information. Maybe closer to the 15th. I'll try again next week.
You going Jimpo1? Still wanting to take that picture of red, white & blue 328s. Surely a red one will show up. :)

We originally came up with the idea because of all the issues with Cars & Coffee. We have police there which eliminate 99 percent of the issues. I wish you best of luck setting one up.

So would my lowly Lambo Huracan allow me admittance?

Try the Boardwalk Ferrari show tomorrow.

If you bring the Lambo I'll make sure to stock up on extra (Roma) tomatoes ;)

For the uneducated, where are all the car shows in DFW tomorrow? After this line of storms pass, tomorrow looks like a perfect car show day!
