Car is an '81 North American GTSi.

I am soon buying an aluminum header tank to replace my OEM one. The inside has seen better days.

The question is on the inboard side is an electrical switch/sensor.

Anyone got a Ferrari or OEM (Bosch?) Part # ?

I checked the usual places and No Joy.

    Different part.

It needs to be 115477. As I recall one is open hot and the other is closed hot. I needed one a while back and finally found one. I am leaving town and will be away from my resources but call T Rutlands and ask for Brian, call GT Car Parts. I think I have the specs written down somewhere.

121777 and 115652 look the same. Not sure what 115150 is. They have different specs and I'll see what I have when I get back.

Clean yours up and see what is written on it. Several of the sides have information.

If it does what I recall it does, car can live without it.

    Thanx guys for responding.

Roger Brian. I read some of the old threads and the 308i and QV parts worked bass-ackward from each other, 180° off. I never did find where the issue of the 'correct part' was posted in the threads or otherwise resolved.

I'll post here and also PM the inscription I find.

Mark, your car is the same as mine

    switch logic
cold = closed (on cold start up, yellow light in the upper right corner of the instrument cluster is on)
warm = open (light goes out, things associated with cold-running are disabled)

Thermo-pneumatic valve for the EGR system

    Michael,

I believe you are correct as my analysis is the same as yours.

    You have a Bosch Part # ?

Low and behold there are two switches(?) coming off the header tank on the left rear inboard side.

One with two wires and one with two nipples, one nipple exposed to the air and one that has a short rubber hose running to whst appears as another goldish colorer device mounted on the rear firewall?

Crap. What part is this (on the header tank)?

Will get the numbers off the original part in question next week as I am in Switzerland until late.

the one with the two wires is the above mentioned coolant temp switch which activates everything associated with cool running

the one with the two nipples is the thermo pneumatic valve for the EGR system 115150

I'm not sure where you are getting your aluminum header tank from, but the tank I got from Superformance was only available with a single bung for the electrical sensor, nothing for the vacuum line switch. Be sure to ask what you are getting.

I had the local welding shop stick on a bung I made up so I could run both switches.
