Had a 2001 Vantage volante V12. Based on a jag XK S. Beautiful looks, not Aston quality. V12 engine in that model not up to snuff in power or sound. Lots of electrical gremlins-that's why they are priced so low. Sold mine foe $18,000 Canadian but it had 70.000 miles. No regrets.

The DB7 was built on a XK S chassis. Jaguar. With ford hardware and electronics.Saved Aston Martin. Had one for a few years (V12). Poor sound from engine, lots of electrical glitches. Very nice looks, bad quality. But you can buy one now for under $20,000. Have fun.

Modern Astons (Vantage, DB9 since the first facelift) are very good cars.

    They almost never go bad.
