not a problem .. best of luck with yours it really looks beautiful and with 300 miles I thought mine with 3000 was pretty good... ... I should have mine by the end of the week I prepared my trades yesterday .. I always hate selling anything as I bought the cars because I like them but it is what it is... I really will miss my scud but I have not driven it in nearly a year just the drive to my office garage yesterday really made me remember how much I like it.. .. but It had to go... oddly The 550B I am ok with letting go surprisingly....I still have a very nice 550 that seems to satisfy my 550 urge... the last car I traded(a 930 Porsche) I ended up calling the dealer and getting it back,...
Are you speaking of Rich's car.......not really familiar with the different spoke thicknesses I was reading about it earlier in another thread....and his look thicker whats the story on this Larry
Yeah I was referring to Rich's car. The big majority of GTO's come with the standart "Thin" spoke wheels. You have those. At the end of the production Ferrari switched to "Thick spokes" wheels, probably to make them more strong. They are rather rare, that's why that's an added value on a GTO http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/612-599/473592-599-gto-y-spoke-wheels.html You'll find more info here
Agreed. Congrats on the GTO. Ferrari used the 6-1 header on the GTO giving it's unique and greatly different snarl over the standard 599. Definitely a keeper.
you know a thread on this site re the 6 into one header is what moved me over the line It made me realize that I could live without the 550B as it has the 6 into 2 headers and I could not get the sound out of the 550B or 550 that I own no matter what I did... ... and I have the F12 with the 6 into one and what a difference in sound and then feel. I did get to drive the GTO a few minutes today and what a beast ....
ok here is one question having now driven the GTO some and I really like the beast that it is the F1 transmission is much more raw then the new cars with the dual clutch etc. but one question is there any way to get a cup holder for the 599 gto... really would like a cup holder.... such a problem to have...

Personally, the 599 GTO is in the top 3 of most under-rated/overlooked Ferrari's made in the past 30 years.
Larry- Have fun with her. I know it was tough letting the Barchetta go. That 6-1 exhaust music will make up for the loss.
Fabio makes a 6 into 1 header system for the Maranellos that achieves a great sound. I have the system sitting in my garage right now awaiting installation on to my 550 as soon as the major service is completed. That said, the GTO and F12 have an even greater sound, but out of my reach for now. Here's Fabio's system on his own 575 Maranello: [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O8F9aqAGuWo[/ame]
TRES55 let me know how you like the headers when you instal them . Fabio had contacted me maybe a couple of years ago when he was developing the 550 system I was just not comfortable till I heard about a North American cars results ,,, I still have a2001 550 ...
No cup holders in the GTO and I have never seen one (although I'm sure they exist). Anyway that is why we have 911 TTS's as our DD's I think once you get real seat time in your GTO she will spoil you for ANY other car ... and I mean forever (even if she doesn't have a cup holder). Candidly don't think ANY cup holder would work properly when the GTO is accelerating hard or pushing hard in turns. By the end of this year (by that time your GTO will have turned you into Michael Schumacher due to its magical mystic qualities) you won't care about such things as cup holders (although candidly I do use mine in my TTS everyday for that cup of coffee). Anyway, drive your GTO often as nothing lasts forever. We are all but mere caretakers of these glorious beasts.
Rich, i'm quite certain that i'm the first and only previous owner of your new GTO Congratulations, it's a fantastic machine! To avoid any further hijack of this thread, feel free to PM me if you want to know the full history of my ownerhsip (no stories! worry not ), and how it came to market recently.
I know I Need to take some I am a little slow in picture taking but love the car I believe it will be a keeper the sound and feel are just awesome with the F1 performance transmission and the angry V12 it would be hard to beat not sure which is quicker the F12 or GTO but the GTO definitely feels faster
