I agree. No point going to Merc with Ham there. And whilst Max has shown he is capable of mixing it with the best, he hasn't shown he can perform miracles against Ham or Vet yet. Perhaps soon he will. For fans, surely the best answer is the have 3 teams with leading levels of performance and the three top drivers fighting against each other. We need RB to catch up on development!!! As for Stroll, right now, his F1 career duration is unlikely to exceed one season unless $$ assisted by daddy to a monumental degree.
There are some few talented youngster out there..Max of course, and with him Ocon...to me both will be the stars of the future.....Lance won't be one of them....
Haven't decided if I like him or not, but he had a really good qualifiying day and like the aggressiveness.
I knew he lived in Switzerland, but I though he was French, having read it in their presentation when he drove for Renault in the past. Does he race with a Swiss licence?
Sounds like Nico Rosberg. He grew up in Monaco. His father is Finnish. But, because his mother had official custody of him and she was German, Nico was "German". But, when it comes to Lance Stroll, I've never heard him referred to as anything other than Canadian.
French license as there is no monoposto racing in Switzerland but he holds both nationalities. Funny enough my dental hygienist met him several times as she is also from Geneva
But there is a motor sport authority in Switzerland, certainly. I have never heard that Herbert Mueller, Jo Siffert, Silvio Moser or Clay Regazzoni couldn't obtain a Swiss competition licence because they race single-seaters.
It used to be(post 1957) that there weren't any sanctioned racing events in Switzerland except hillclimbs. Is that still the case?
Relax William. Born in London,... Dual citizenship. My 2 boys are dual citizens as well. Might want to see a dermatologist about that thin skin! 😉
Good grief,... Are you *******serious? Wasn't aware "British" was a "race". Crying racism over that makes you look like a twit.
You know English isn't a race, right? It was obviously light humour based on a wrong fact (IIRC British apparently have the best teeth now in EU, though I do doubt that statement!). Americans are all fat Asians are good at math Dutch are all stoned German women are all hairy Need I go on?
