Vettel, kimi, elton takes out bottles because after two races, bottles gets a grip on the car, qualifies ahead, races ahead, and elton decides he has to pass him within a lap by whatever means necessary, totalling both cars in the process ala taking out rosberg last year. We will all laugh and poke fun, and Wolff will undoubtedly try to claim it was bottles fault for being in the way and he should have accounted for elton using him as a brake into turn five, under pressure from elton who has announced to the team that if anyone takes the piss, he's leaving.

In my dream, alonso rocks up, parks his loser cruiser company minivan outside the Mercedes truck and offers to pay his mclaren salary settlement in order to drive for merc, and Rat sees the light, hires him, and sends elton off to star in his own reality show 'the real housewives of F1', where his *****ing and moaning goes down a storm with the dead-head numbskulls that will tune in every week to watch what tattoo he has next and whose blouses he'll be wearing on the catwalks. Hahahahahahahaaha

 

I guess Williams will be strong. It will be warm, so Mercedes won't stand a chance against Ferrari.

Hamilton tips Ferrari to be stronger in Bahrain heat

Lewis Hamilton expects Ferrari to be a stronger threat in this weekend’s Bahrain Grand Prix.

Hot conditions in Bahrain will play into Ferrari’s hands, according to the Chinese Grand Prix winner.

“Being that it’s often a warmer race, Ferrari is very good in hotter conditions,” said Hamilton.

Shanghai saw very low track temperatures of less than 15C on race day. “These were quite good conditions with our car,” said Hamilton.

“When it steps up in temperature, so far in the first race it’s been shown as not the greatest for us just yet, so we’re just learning on the tyres.”

Hamilton believes his car’s performance in warmer conditions will “definitely be better than it was in Melbourne”, where Sebastian Vettel’s Ferrari outraced him to victory.

“I think they will be very very quick in the next race but there’s a lot of straights there as well and we’ve obviously got, I think, still the strongest power unit on the grid, so I think that will come into play, for sure.”

Vettel said he “doesn’t know what to expect” from this weekend’s race.

“I think if we can challenge Mercedes again, that’s very good news. They are very very strong. They have had a very very strong run the last couple of years. This year as well, so a good package.”

“If we can be close it’s good. I think we need to look after ourselves. I think there’s stuff that we can do better, must do better, can improve so I’m happy to get a surprise, but expectation I don’t really have.”

A Ferrari on pole would be great. Ferrari 1-2 epic. Hamilton is so strong these days i cant see it happening but i hope im wrong

 

I predict a hamilton pole.

In terms of the race, if bottas qualifies second I predict a hamilton victory. If Vettel qualifies second he will win.

The Ferrari will thrive in the hot conditions and will be considerably easier on tyre deg and have faster race pace than merc. If Vettel is stuck behind bottas at the start then Hamilton will get away and I doubt Vettel will reel him in

 

Mercedes have got this one in the bag. Hamilton on pole. P2 Bottas. P3 Rakkonen. Same result on Sunday. I predict a boring race with not much overtaking.

 

Everyone keeps saying the ferrari will be great in the heat because of Australia. Im not sold as hamilton would've probably won had he not been held up. Really hope youre right

 

Night race but still a touch under 30 Celsius air temp before race starts. I think Aussies was 21 so the track temp will be high

 

Predicting that Alonso wins with his Honda/McClaren at Long Beach, oh wait that was last weekend.
