For anybody who has done this DIY mod, what is the easiest way to get
to the exhaust valves to reach the vacuum lines. I have looked and just can't
figure out if I want to go from the top or take the rear diffuser off.
On my 430, the valves were in plain sight by the motor.
    Any comments will be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Don

Note that going through the airbox only works for the Italia, not Spider.

You can also intercept the only one vacuum line at the level of the vacuum tank. It is behind the left rear wheel and can be accessed to by removing the wheel arch.

I did this modification on my 458 Spider and loved it!!

Has anyone tried this modification on the 488 and if so how did it sound?

On the 488 the vaccum tank is located in the other side (right rear wheel)

If you get an exhaust controller you can toggle between open and closed. By disconnecting the vacuum they will be always open. Of course, for some, that is the desired effect. But if think that at times you want to have them closed ....

I tried to plug them, but it was nearly impossible... I took off the diffuser and could see the valves and touch them, but there's no way to actually pull the lines off. There's a huge metal clamp, it would never come off without getting tools in there.

I bought the Forza controller, it's amazing. Instant on/off. While installing the controller I took the air box out, there's no way to get to the valves from the top.

I asked the same question several months ago. Several people said to just plug it, like it was a 10 minute job. I could barely wiggle my arm in and touch the valve let alone get a tool inside to rip the clamp off, and you have to do it twice! Then what? Never be able to get the hose back on? Take it to the dealer to reinstall the hose? I suppose it's very easy if you remove the bumper, everything would be right there... I wasn't going to pull the bumper off.

BTW, I just bought a IPE exhaust and will be selling the Forza unit. It's only been installed about 3-4 months.
