    Finally got my historical plates...

Saved me $550 a year and I 'may*' get smog exemption.

*it's the luck of the draw. you're not supposed to get smog exemption, but some people that got these plates (even recently) got smog exemption by mistake.

I'll know in a few months if I lucked out!

One of the few and I mean few things nice here in good ole Maryland is Historic registration begins at age 20. No inspection or emissions. Cheap insurance but the guys with the rusted out 75 chevy pickups with wooden beds and the like will ruin it for us all. I will enjoy it as long as I can.

I was at my warehouse today working on another car and looked out at the Mondial after coming back from a 50 mile drive. Ugly? No way!

Slightly modified H&R. 19" Speedline wheels. Stance is just right for me. Handles great also. Another pic shows how the wheels fit correctly inside the wheelhouse.

Very different from the -10C we had yesterday morning with a inch of snow. Snow is still not totally melted here.

The old girl (car, not the wife) and I participated in the car club corral at the first Dallas Concour de Elegance.

We were there with the Italian Car Club of the Southwest.

For those of you in the above post describing winter conditions -- yesterday in Dallas was sunny, not a cloud in the sky, light breeze, and 68 degrees. Perfect for a car show.

The judged part of the concour was amazing. Unbelievably spectacular cars.

The car club corral, which was not judged, was also great. About 200 cars of all types showed up.

Here's a couple of pics of the old girl, and one of her club-mates. If your curious, that's a 1972 Citroen SM sitting next to my Mondial.

A generation that will most likely grow up to not drive ICE cars. He'll look back on that picture in awe in later years.
