Guys, I was recently lucky enough to buy the 550 GT1 chassis number 2102 which I am about to start enjoying on a few European track days! I have been told that there were two factory (ie 4 digit chassis number) 550 GT1s produced, chassis 2102 and 2104. Is anyone aware of the whereabouts of 2104? I understand that it is in the factory museum but would like to know for sure... Thanks, Mike
My 550 is the first factory GT1 car that grew into the factory 575 GT1 program. Given their success, in 2003 Prodrive approached Ferrari and asked them to collaborate on the 550 GT1 program. Ferrari declined and decided to start their own customer GT1 program. They asked N Technology (who were responsible for the Alfa touring car program at the time) to built two 550 GT1 spec cars to compete with the Prodrive GT1 cars. These cars were given chassis numbers F133GT*2102* and F133GT*2104* by the factory. The cars are effectively carbon bodied spaceframe 550s similar to the Prodrive 550s. Both factory cars were leased by the factory to JMB Racing for the 2003 FIA GT Championship and they competed in a number of races including the Spa 24hours. In late 2003 the 575 was introduced by Ferrari and N Technology built these into GT1 cars to compete with the Prodrive 550s. Chassis 2102 is therefore one of two factory 550 GT1 cars. I have been told that the other one is still owned by the factory but would love to know if that is true... Cheers, Mike
I have all docs, did you also got the buildsheet and factory documents? There are three 550 GT1s by N-Technology One is at the factory
Hi Tom. I have a reasonable number of the factory docs but would be very keen to see any other info you may have! I'm also very interested in the other 550 cars - as you can see from my initial post, I thought there was only one..! Cheers, Mike
That is indeed my car being driven by the previous owner. He won the Italian hillclimb championship in it several times.

Did I ever see this car in Melbourne, Australia? Swear there was a Prodrive 550 down here at some point ...
Yep that's the one. Ex Rafanelli Olive Garden that ran in ALMS. Ran here in Nations Cup albeit heavily restricted to slow it down to NGT speed. Won a race at Bahrain GT festival in hands of David Brabham and the Great Dane Alan Simonsen (RIP) Last I heard it was in China but that was sometime ago
If I recall correctly, it was snapped up by a member here I think about two years or so ago. He may even still have it.
