Dealer gets continues update at every stage of the process. They should be sharing each step as they get notified. That's been the case on all 4 Ferrari's I've ordered.
Yah just ask what status number you are at. It's easy to find out. That would be nice if they added this to the my Ferrari site but all it says is when the order was accepted and you should be able to see the option there too although it's often not complete.
Can you update me on the situation with your 488 GTB? I recall you mentioning you had it listed for resale by the dealer? Interested to see how that whole process went...
It's in the dealers showroom on consignment. My agreement states that when it sells I get paid full msrp and the dealer keeps any profit. If they get an offer below msrp, then we negotiate.
That's how it's done and everyone is happy. I do the same Except this time they bought my 488 GTB with a 351k sticker they still have the car on the floor after 3 months
Thanks for the input, as a current 488 owner that's looking to move up to a Spifer (eventually), would love to know how it all plays out in the end. What happens if you receive your Spider and your 488 GTB isn't sold by then?
You're seeing the following (or I have as talking with dealers): $351 MSRP cars going for $330's $285 MSRP cars going for $295 $319 MRSP cars going for low $300's Never good to get highly optioned F car.
More data to consider: My last production photo was listed on March 9th. Today my dealer called and said my 488 Spider will arrive in 2 days. That is about 5 weeks from the date of the last production picture. I am on the East Coast.
Interesting, as my last production photo was exactly the same date as yours, except I took delivery of my car this past Saturday.... I am on the east coast as well.
Just learned from the dealer the current list price on a 488 Spider is $280,900 plus $3,750 for delivery. When I ordered the car last May the list was $272,700. Wish I could do this in my business (and get away with it).
I should have been more clear. Although I ordered the car in May once the pricing was released for the 2017 model year the Spider was $272,700. So they increased the price at least once during the same model year.
I was told when I ordered that given the long wait times for the Spider (except you special guys ), I could expect some increases to my estimated cost before delivery, and that held true when a conversation with my dealer 6 mos later revealed the base increase to $280K. I guess the bigger point here for me is that it made no difference, if the base price had been quoted at $280K from day one, or even $290K, it's not like I would have walked out....it's a Ferrari, if I want it that's the price. checked today and my car is at status 30, expected delivery to dealer 26 May (UK) At what stage do you first receive pics, and do they come through email, dealer or through personal area on ferrari.com? Thanks
You should be getting your first photo around now or very soon. You will receive an email from Ferrari letting you know the production photo is available on your personal area on Ferrari.com
Just got update and my car remains is Status 40 now for 2.5 weeks Seams pretty odd considering the timeline for Status 40 is typically a few days?
