The conclusion from a discussion on this thread was that 2 strut shocks (left & right) were used for A/C and 1 strut (left) for non-A/C. My '75 Turbo #0160 only has the left-side strut (2 shocks in parallel) and there's no right-side strut mount on the firewall or the tail.

Ahh…this car was just at the Porsche Classic stand at Essen 2017.

Additional photos show a non-A/C tail so there should only be a strut mount for the shocks on the left-side.

Great find! Many thanks for posting this information Rich, much appreciated!

I have searched the usual sources for a copy of Motoring News as the books that the car features in references the source of the pictures used as this article but to no avail to date. How did you manage to come across this article? Would greatly appreciate it if it was possible to get a copy to add to the cars file.

    I’ve sent you a PM…

When you acquired the car, did it still have the extra spare tire in the trunk? :) Very cool to have a car that was featured in period road tests.

That is what i thought,on this 75' they where left and right.
What i noted also on the 6 other 3.0 s'that where there, prices are stabilizing and some are cheaper then last edition.
Only the 75' is still going trough a steep increase.

    Thanks Rich, have replied....

No, unfortunately it did not have this extra wheel...neither did it have the original factory space saver wheel, toolkit or jack....the period of its life in the years just before I purchased it were less than ideal.

A scotch on the secret number might have been a good idea...

Weighted these seats back to back. Rich previously mentioned the sports seats were 12lbs heavier than the standard seats, 33lbs and 45lbs respectively. The sports seats are 'for sale', as I'm putting the standards back in my '77. I wanted to offer them to the 3 litre crowd first, hopefully i can help put a car back together. Pm any interest...t

Likely a powerwasher on a low setting but I am not certain. I can inquire with the shop.
