Ok.. I may miss a few steps as I did this 2 years ago but here goes.

In my case all my freon was gone so I didn't need to capture it.. but if it's not get someone to capture it before you do any of this.. no point in screwing up the atmosphere more. Also, IMO if you have super big hands forget it.. take it to a shop and let them do it.

Remove the inner wheel well on the passenger side rear.

Remove the guard panel from the underside of the car under the alternator.

Now comes the tricky part... you have to get your 17mm wrench onto the inlet and outlets on the compressor itself. At least that is what I loosened first before trying to pull it out of the car. (others may suggest loosening the unit itself). Once I got them loosened and out of the way (they have that fiberglass looking yellowish cover in the pictures) then I started on backing off the tension on the tensioner. You'll need to do this to remove the belt and eventually get the compressor out of the car.

I remember there being something tricky about the nut above the tensioner connecting the upper part of the compressor but it escapes me right now. It wasn't major but at the time it took me a few minutes to figure out how to contort my hand to get to it.

I would estimate it took me 3 hours to get mine out and back in (found a broken wire) the first time... if I was in front of it now and having to do it... it would all come back and I could probably do it in 1.5 to 2.

Use a lift or make sure your jack stands are secure -- I did mine on the floor with jackstands.

Hope this helps a little and if anyone else has done it and i'm missing steps please chime in.

This my friends is how you reinstall your very heavy Tubi muffler by yourself.

Notch a 2x4 with a slot in the middle.
Raise the muffler enough to get the low profile jack and 2 x4 under muffler.
    Load muffler in slot.
jack it up till high enough
    install bolts. ‪
