    When I drilled mine several years ago to push the front bumper in, it hissed air, not oil. I really like the appearance (I also changed to euro style signal lenses). I left the rear bumper alone.

    When you drilled your shocks to decompress them and push the bumper in, does the bumper stay put? How does it stay recessed? It look clean!

    I fully respect your expertise, but perhaps you've been lucky. I have two in my basement. They slide in & out after being popped. They offer very little resistance and are of no value in a bump accident. I did have a third that seemed to pop into place, but I just didn't want to trust it after the 1st two.
