    thank you bubba

but in germany we not know a clean title, only a clear title and so I was thinking clean and clear is the same. if there ever have been an accident with a car the government don´t care about this as long as it is technical well repaired. some insurances meanwhile start recording those accident cars ( but only very heavy accidents ), but without connection you not get any information from them.

Its an interesting conumdrum. A restored car should depeding on who did the job have little to no needs(does any italian car ever have no needs). To really restore a car we're talking 150-200K? and you need a decent car to start with, so its a 400k project to break even, unless you do the work yourself and dont count your cost.

Alternatively there are low mileage origional timewarpy cars, and these will all have varying needs. As posters here observe at the very least suspension rubber goes bad with time.

However we here are not the average buyer. Seems many buyers of older ferraris look for low miles, orig cars timewarpy. Whether they run remotely properly or have played suspension is not really a big criteria. Ill bet old delivery tires and shocks are a plus. These buyers are looking for a Collectable" that can move under its own power, and with low enough miles such a "perfect" car if it can move under its own power can probaly hit 400k.. In such a scenario a completly original car, that we may not cosidder driving above 20 mph, may well fetch an equivalent or higher price than a properly running restored car.

If you want a great car for driving, I think there are any number of BBis about with an idiacted 15-30k miles, origional paint, great inetrior, tools etc. These cars are but a suspension redo, eo and serious detailing away from being every bit as nice lookign as a concors queeen and likely to (after the work) run as good as any boxer ever has. My bet is such a car can be bought and acheived for under +-300K.

So yes a timewarp or a car someone has spent all the money on, may at an auction feth 400k. But you can acehive just as nice and as good a car by buying a really good/nice one and attending to time related needs.

In short the "best" boxer could fetch 400k at auction, although most are likely to sit. You can acheive a great boxer for 300k, and this is the type of car that was almost the same price as the best 18 months ago.

I agree, but these cars were only 125k 40 months ago and were much less than that for many, many years. I drove mine yesterday about 80 miles and I now question my thoughts of getting rid of the Boxer and getting a FGT, after a great drive. I'm grateful to have such a dilemma.

An FGT is a very compelling choice. Similar conceptualy to a boxer, more performance, less cost to operate, ac that works, possibly the zenith of the classic anolg drivign experience..
It's also harder to see out of, more plasticky, less art in terms of design(nice but retro) and maybe somehow less special/exotic.

But its a hard call, if I owned neither and someone offered me one or the other it would be a tough decision.

Now if you think boxers are 400K and a FGT 250k. The you could get a Fgt and a 308GT4 or maybe a FGT and a testraossa, covering both bases. But these days I think a BBI is 300k and a FGT 250K. Of course ferrari prices could run ahead again.

Frankly though a boxer is as fast as is sanely reasonable on the street, and has near modern handling while being a classic ferrari experience. I think its the ideal combo unless you have a 288. On club fast road runs a boxer easily keeps up with anything, plus its tremedous fun and engaging (in way moderns are not)even at reasonable or semi reasonable speeds. You do have to know how to drive them though, theyre not as much fun above 150-160ish(who goes there on street) and never liftoff at speed near the limit on a bend, but then thats part of the challenge and joy.

For me a faster car is one for the track.
